Seattle's answer to an International Jazz Festival - Earshot is back this fall for its 20th installment. Highlight
for me this year, no big surprise, is Cecil Taylor in solo piano mode at Town Hall October 26th. Cecil's getting
on in his years, being one of the original post-bebop progenitors, but has lost none of his lightning faster-than
-the-eye-can-follow channeling of the of the abstract free-jazz verve in his playing and this is a rare chance
to see him do his thing. Other notables include: Wayne Horvitz, Charlie Haden and Ravi Coltrane - check the
