Tsai Ming-Liang's new (insane) film "Wayward Cloud"

WAYWARD CLOUD

Holy Sh*t! A un-porno-musical about watermelons and drought in Taiwan?? By a director known for his exceptionally artful and contemplative pacing and cinematography? ... And a film that has one of the most f*cked up, unexpected conclusions I have ever seen.

The new Tsai Ming-Liang film "Wayward Clouds" is one of those original and incomparable films that one is reserved to recommed, in part because of the suject matter, but moreso how the subject is treated. "Wayward..." is the third film in a trilogy of sorts with "What Time is it There?" & the short film "The Skywalk is Gone" (included on the DVD of his previous film "Goodbye, Dragon Inn" - one of my faves from last year) Don't get me wrong, I think the film is amazing, just real messed up.
